  • What is FeelDouro?

    FeelDouro is a cruising company that provides differentiated and tailor-made experiences to the desires of each customer, by offering exclusive use of our boats to groups, friends and families, on cruises and trips on the River Douro, with crew.

  • Where is FeelDouro headquartered?

    FeelDouro is based on the new marina of the Douro, Douro Marina, in the mouth of the Douro River, opposite the city of Porto. We also have a second base in Pinhão.

  • What programs does FeelDouro have?

    FeelDouro proposes programs from 2 hours to 7 days, during which every customer is free to choose from several alternatives to discover the territory. Our programs combine a wide range of possibilities such as entertainment activities, wine tastings, visits to wineries and other points of interest like the cities of Porto, Guimarães / Braga, Viana do Castelo / Ponte de Lima, Douro and Fatima, among others. Our aim is than to offer our clients the possibility of knowing the region, not only by boat but through a tailor-made package, resulting in a more complete and fulfilling experience.

  • What are the characteristics of FeelDouro’s boats?

    Our boats are ecological, in some cases with hybrid engines, and protect the environment by reducing the impact of the activities undertaken throughout the Douro River Basin.

    These have the capacity to carry 12 passengers and are the best way to discover the Douro Region and it’s historical, cultural and landscape scale.

  • The boats have rooms that allow overnight on board?

    Yes. Tawny has a cabin with two beds for conversion to a double bed, so 2 people can stay overnight on board. Rosé is identical but it also has a bunk bed for 2 people. In the other hand, Vintage and White have 2 cabins each: both of them with two beds that convert into a double bed, so 4 people can spend the night on board. Ruby has one cabin with one double bed for 2 people. 

    For the client’s comfort and privacy, when customers sleep on board, the crew spends the night inland, near the pier where the boat is docked, in case the client requires further assistance


  • How can I book?

    You can only pre-book through our email info@feeldouro.com.

    Your reservation will be considered confirmed upon receipt of 50 % payment proof of the total value of the desired program. The remaining 50% should be settled up to 48 hours prior to the boarding.

    Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer or cash.


  • What is included in the price of the programs?

    The prices of our programs include VAT, fuel, crew, passage at locks and insurance.


    Do I need to book in advance?

    You should make your reservation until at least 24h in advance depending on availability. The earlier you book the most likely you will be guaranteed availability.

  • Can I change my initial reservation?

    It is allowed to change the name, number of passengers, departure date or duration of the program on payment of the following fees:

    a) Changes request up to 48 hours before departure: 25% of the total price of the chosen program

    b) Changes request after the 48 hours before shipment: 35% of the total price of the chosen program

    Is not permitted to change the date after 24 hours prior to shipment.

    The amendments to the original booking may be subject to a review of the price initially set for the selected program, particularly when the change has to do with choosing a more expensive program, with more participants or when the change involves changing the date for another season. 


  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Once the booking is done, the following cancellation fees will be charged:

    a) Up to 48 hours before departure: 50% of the total price of the chosen program b) Between 48 to 24 hours before departure: 100% of the total price of the chosen program 

    c) After 24 hours before departure or if you don’t show up at the departure day: 100% of the total price of the chosen program

    Adding to this cancellation fees you should consider any charges incurred by FeelDouro, Lda including transports, accommodation, food and/or any other services contracted to outsider firms if they are directly related with the chosen program and if it is not refunded.

    FeelDouro may cancel, postpone or change any itinerary or trip if for any reason such as: weather conditions adverse to sailing, mechanical problems, medical emergency, strike or work stoppage at that place, local holidays and other reasons without any penalty for FeelDouro, Lda. 

  • Children pay the same as adults?

    All prices are per boat. Despite the age, children are accounted for effects of number of passengers on board, for the capacity of the boats.


    All children under 18 years old must be accompanied on the departure day by a parent or a responsible adult over 18 years old. 

    Regarding meals on board, children up to 2 years old don’t pay and children between 3 and 10 years old only pay 50% of the value.

  • Where do the boarding and disembark take place?

    Boarding and disembark are made in Douro Marina or Pinhão. Punctually, these can occur in other piers, according to the program set with the client.

  • Is smoking allowed inside the boat?

    It is only allowed to smoke outside, in the deck area.

  • Are pets accepted on board?

    Only guide dogs are allowed.

  • Which are dress code rules on board?

    There is only one rule: it is not allowed to practice nudism or topless.

  • Is it possible to swim in the river?

    Yes, but only once the boat and engines are stopped and after crew advice. It is expressly forbidden to swim while the boat is navigating or performing maneuvers. FeelDouro, Lda does not take responsibility for any kind of accident outside the boat.

  • Are there any beverages on board?

    Yes. You can find alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on board. FeelDouro, Lda has the right to not to provide alcoholic beverages to minors under 18 years of age and to appear to be notoriously drunk or appear to have some psychic anomaly.
